Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore said here on Monday that a large number of nominations were filed in his office on the last day. He listed them as 31 (Amberpet by 26 candidates), 14 (Khairatabad) 12 (Secunderabad), 21 (Goshamahal), 17 (Nampally), 31 (Karwan by 21 candidates), 30 (Jubilee Hills by 23 candidates), 17 (Musheerabad), 20 (Sanathnagar by 15 candidates), 16 (Malakpet). Giving details of the nominations filed, the GHMC chief stated that in Malakpet many Independent candidates - Syed Asadullah, Mukram Mohadi, Samiyullah Sharif, Mohd Shabbir Ali Khan, Adigotla Rakesh, K V L Kranthi Kumar, Sappidi Gopal, Jamalpur Ashok - had filed their papers.
Among others who filed nominations were: S Venkatadri Chary (Lok Thanthrik Sarvajana Samaj Party), Sai Lakshmi (Jatiya Mahila Party), Syed Shahajmal Junaid Qadri (All-India Forward Bloc), P Venkataramana (Bahujan Left Front), Syed Qadir (Telangana Labour Party) and Mohd Abdul Qader (Republican Party of India).
