Daughter terms Komati selfless politician

Nalgonda: Describing him a selfless politician, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy’s daughter Srinidhi said, his father, despite his humble beginnings and coming from a small village, he fought to give the people of Nalgonda and Telangana a voice and could touch hundreds of thousands of lives in the last 20 years.

On Wednesday, speaking to The Hans India over phone from USA, she said, ever since she can remember, “he taught me the importance or selflessness, empathy and helping anyone in need.”

She informed that “I have grown up watching him working tirelessly and dedicating each and every day to his people, even if this meant he had to miss out on a lot of my childhood.

Now that I am an adult, I look back and can only find myself being so proud of him for being the best representative for his people that he envisioned to be. From his widely known protests as a young political leader striving to end the fluoride crisis in Nalgonda, to giving up his post as a cabinet minister and revolting unapologetically for a separate Telangana State -- every step he has taken in the last 20 years was out of pure selflessness”

She urged people of Nalgonda constituency to bless his father in the Assembly elections slated to be held on December 7 for overall development of the constituency.
