Hyderabad: Asking intellectuals, poets, writers and others to stand beside him as a protective shield, TRS president K Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday said that he will not allow Telangana to become slave to outsiders till he is alive. Concluding his campaign by addressing Praja Ashirwada Sabha at Gajwel, Chandrashekar Rao appealed to the people not to get confused with surveys.
“I want to make an appeal to the people. I will not allow Telangana to become slave till I live. I have toured a majority of the constituencies in the state. My estimate is that the TRS is going to win more than 100 seats,” said Chandrashekar Rao. Stating that if TRS wins, they will get Kaleshwaram and if Kutami wins there will be Shaneshwaram, Rao wanted the people to decide whether they want ‘Kaleshwaram’ or ‘Shaneshwaram’.
The CM lashed out at the Congress leaders for remaining silent in the public meeting of Chandrababu Naidu. “Chandrababu Naidu in a meeting said that there was no water in the Krishna river and that Godavari water needs to be shared by both the States. The Congress leaders ‘shook’ their heads without questioning him. They should have questioned him but remained silent," said Chandrashekar Rao.
The TRS president said that Chandrababu Naidu wants a proxy government in Telangana. “What does he want? He wants a puppet government because he does not want KCR to be there, because KCR will not listen to him. He has deployed his entire workforce, including his intelligence in Telangana. Doesn’t he have his own state with 175 seats,” asked Rao.
He called upon the intellectuals, poets, writers to stand as a shield beside him. “It is your responsibility to stand beside me as a protective shield. Without your support I cannot do anything," said Rao. Rao further said that Telangana was the only state in the country to give free power supply round-the-clock.
He said that the 24-hower power supply will not be stopped until KCR is alive. “What is Bangaru Telangana? Every farmer should have Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh in his bank account and that is Bangaru Telangana,” said Rao. He said that if people bless the government, pensions would be increased. Rao said that earlier, minister only used to make a show but ministers in TRS government were working in the field.
Because of T Harish Rao's efforts eight lakh acres in Mahbubnagar could get water and migration has stopped, he said. Rao said that Chandrababu Naidu was coming with an axe and he is thinking of cutting KCR. Chandrababu Naidu is like Burgula Ramakrishna, who ensured Telangana merged with Andhra. “The Congress party is power hungry.
They cannot live without power. When Kiran Kumar Reddy said he will not give single rupee to Telangana not even a single Congress minister questioned him. They will not ask and don’t open their mouth,” he added. He said that Gajwel would be witnessing more development in future. He said there is a sentiment here whichever party wins in Gajwel forms the government in the State. He asked the crowd whether KCR will win in Gajwel, the crowd responded saying yes and the TRS president said that the government will be formed.
