GHMC standing committee meet held

Hyderabad: The Standing Committee meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Dr B Rammohan, mayor at the GHMC head office. GHMC Commissioner M Dana Kishore attended the meeting for the first time after assuming charge as commissioner.
The standing committee has congratulated the chief minister for assuming charge again in the recent Assembly elections. The budget estimates for the year 2019-20 were placed before the standing committee, and it will discuss the estimates in its next meeting. Upon approval of the standing committee, the estimates will be placed in the General Body Meeting for its approval before January 10.
The standing committee has approved 14th Finance Commission report for the year 2018-19. The services of the 250 outsourcing employees who were working as engineers have been extended for another year. The steel bridge from Indira Park to Nallakunta via Hindi Mahavidyalaya has also been approved.
The honorarium of the community organizers who were working in urban community development was enhanced by Rs 1,000. The works that are pending with regard to engineering and Swachh programs will be discussed circle-wise with the concerned corporators. The members of the standing committee have requested all the corporators to actively participate in the Swachh Survekshan 2019. Retired persons who are working on contract basis have also been given extension.
