GHMC moves to clear debris in Safilguda

Malkajgiri: Responding to a report published in The Hans India, GHMC officials swung into action and commenced works to clear debris in Safilguda, mini Tank Bund, on Thursday. The debris lying in the tank for the past three months have not been cleared despite several complaints. The Hans India reported the protests staged by the locals on the issue and brought it to the notice of the GHMC officials. Responding to the new report, the officers of the GHMC Malkajgiri Circle started the debris clearance works on Thursday.
Locals and convener of Swachh Bharath of Malkajgiri Circle thanked The Hans India for helping them in addressing the issue. Speaking to media at the site, deputy commissioner Venu Gopal appealed to the people not to throw waste in the tank and cooperate with the GHMC in maintaining cleanliness. He asked people to utilize dustbins kept at the park to dispose waste to keep the park clean.
