Karimnagar: After losing the Assembly elections held in December last at the hands of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), all the political parties are preparing hard to face the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Anticipating the election schedule to be released by the end of February by the Election Commission, the Opposition parties in the State are busy in searching for winning horses, who can give a tough fight and defeat the ruling TRS.

Of the two MP seats of Karimnagar and Peddapalli in the erstwhile Karimnagar district, Karimnagar MP seat is reserved for general and Peddapalli is reserved for SC category. Candidates of Congress and BJP interested to contest in the Lok Sabha elections had already started lobbying with the help of their influence. They were constantly in touch with their party high command and meeting senior leaders of their respective parties.

TRS working president and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao at a recent meeting held in Rajanna Sircilla district declared the candidature of Karimnagar MP seat much before the election schedule released. He announced that sitting MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar will contest in the Lok Sabha elections once again from Karimnagar parliamentary constituency on TRS ticket.

Former MP and Congress working president Ponnam Prabhakar, who tasted defeat in the Assembly elections, is confident of getting Congress ticket and is gearing up to face the Lok Sabha elections.

While heavy competition is going on among the BJP leaders for Karimnagar parliamentary seat. Party senior leaders P Muralidhar Rao, G Ramakrishna Reddy, P Sugunakar Rao and Bandi Sanjay Kumar are vying for the Karimnagar ticket and preparing the ground.

Peddapalli TRS MP Bulka Suman won Chennur constituency seat in the Assembly elections. In 2014, Government Chief Advisory and former MP Vivek contested on Congress ticket from Peddapalli parliament constituency and was defeated at the hands of TRS candidate Bulka Suman.

Vivek is sure that he would get TRS ticket this time to contest from Peddapalli in the Lok Sabha elections. Congress is in search of candidates, who can surely win, from Peddapalli to face Lok Sabha elections. Two senior leaders Arepalli Mohan and Adluri Laxman Kumar are in the fray for Peddapalli MP ticket from Congress.

Meanwhile, BJP leaders Kasipet Lingaiah and senior journalist S Kumar are sure that their party will form the government at the Centre for the second consecutive time by winning the coming up Lok Sabha elections with a bumper majority with the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Both are trying to get party ticket for Peddapalli MP seat.
