Hyderabad: Tennis ace Sania Mirza inaugurated Tennis Court, funded by the alumni of Osmania Medical College (OMC) here at Koti recently. The tennis court was funded by the 1980 admission batch of OMC, popularly referred as OSMECOS80, on the occasion MEGAREUNION as a part of various projects initiated on the college premises to contribute something back to its alma mater.

Sania Mirza said, “Long before I started playing tennis I aspired to be a doctor, I was studious in my studies, but this might be the closest I will ever come to be a doctor, with so many doctors around me. The two reasons for me being here is the inauguration of Tennis Court and a Tennis Academy. As a tennis player, it is obviously very close to my heart and also, I want tennis to grow and hopefully, become one of the best sports we have, and more champs come out of India.”
