GHMC to open 100 stalls to feed the needy: Mayor
Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has said that about 100 feedtheneedy stalls would be launched by the GHMC, with the aim to feed the poor in Ayyappa Society Rammohan appealed to the residents of the area to voluntarily provide food on important and auspicious days to the needy, as part of their social responsibility
Madhapur: Mayor Bonthu Rammohan has said that about 100 feed-the-needy stalls would be launched by the GHMC, with the aim to feed the poor in Ayyappa Society. Rammohan appealed to the residents of the area to voluntarily provide food on important and auspicious days to the needy, as part of their social responsibility.
Rammohan distributed free food on Thursday to people in Sainagar and Chandanagar of Kondapur division, along with local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi, Corporator V Jagdishwar Goud, Zonal GHMC Commissioner Harichandana and Chandanagar DC Yadagiri Rao.
Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Arekapudi said that it was a matter of pleasure to launch the feed-the-poor programme in the Madhapur division. He urged residents and representatives of function halls not to waste any leftover food, and instead to offer it to the needy.
