Sangareddy: The Telangana High Court on Saturday slapped a fine Rs 1 lakh on the accused in Sun Parivar case which faces allegations of illegal collection of Rs 150 crore in the form of deposits from at least 14,000 persons. Judge Dr B Shiva Shankar Rao directed the accused to remit the fine amount in favour of slain jawans in Pulwama terror attack. A case was registered against Sun Parivar Group of Companies and its owners at Shameerpet Police Station last Dec. The owners were arrested on charges of diverting the collected money to other companies. The accused got bail on the pretext of extending cooperation in the investigation. As they failed to obey the bailed conditions, the lower court cancelled their bail.
