Former Registrar of Kakatiya University retired Prof MV Ranga Rao has been elected as the president of two decade-old literary and cultural organisation in the city, Sahrudaya.

Hanamkonda: Former Registrar of Kakatiya University retired Prof MV Ranga Rao has been elected as the president of two decade-old literary and cultural organisation in the city, Sahrudaya.

Similarly, a retired principal NVN Chary has been elected as the organisations’ general secretary. Earlier he served as organisation’s cultural secretary. At a meeting of Sahrudaya members in Hanamkonda on Tuesday, new office bearers were elected for the year 2017-18.

N Bhaskar Rao and Malyala Manohar Rao have been elected as the vice-presidents while K Krishna Murthy as the cultural secretary and Kala Rajeshwar Rao as the treasurer of the organisation.

Vaddiraju Venugopal Rao, M Radhakrishna, P Anand Kumar, Kota Srinivasa Rao and A Vijaya Raghava are elected as the executive committee members. Advisory board members for Sahrudaya would be KLV Prasad, Vanam Lakshmikantha Rao, G Girijamanohar Babu and MVL Narasimha Rao.

The newly elected office bearers pledged to take forward the 21 years cultural and literary legacy of Sahrudaya by organising innovative programmes that would be appealing to the public in Warangal.
