The event was being celebrated as part of 150th birth centenary celebrations of Vivekananda. Large number of students, youth, NCC and NSS volunteers, common people, educationists, political leaders and government officials took part in the programmes that were held across the district on the day.
At the district head quarters a massive public meeting was organised at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium under the aegis of Swami Vivekananda 150th Jayanthi Utsava Committee. The district Collector G Kishan has flagged off a rally from Kakatiya University Arts and Science College.
