Host DPS Nacharam emerge overall champs
Delhi Public School (DPS) Nacharam, Hyderabad won the overall championship trophy and New Orange City Convent, Amaravati won the overall runner up trophy in the CBSE South Zone Under 14/17/19 Boys and Girls Rifle Shooting Championship held at Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) Shooting Range, Hyderabad Central University, Gachibowli.
Hyderabad: Delhi Public School (DPS) Nacharam, Hyderabad won the overall championship trophy and New Orange City Convent, Amaravati won the overall runner up trophy in the CBSE South Zone Under 14/17/19 Boys and Girls Rifle Shooting Championship held at Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) Shooting Range, Hyderabad Central University, Gachibowli. The championship was hosted by DPS, Nacharam.
As many as 160 schools from seven different states from South Zone 1 & Zone 2 participated in the competition.
The event was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Narsaiah Kuttur, deputy director of Sports Authority of Telangana and Salalith Tottempudi, Governing Body member of National Rifle Association of India, was the Guest of honour. Nagarjun, Physical Director of HPS Ramanthapur, was the observer from CBSE.
The valedictory ceremony was conducted at SATS, where DPS shairman Komaraiah, Principal Sunita Rao and Headmistress Sirisha gave the chief guest Salalith a warm welcome.
The ones who emerged victorious remained humble whereas the others took it in their stride and marched ahead with zeal and zest. The championship concluded on a high note under the guidance of the DPS Principal.
