Hyderabad: The Board of directors of Associated Broadcasting Company Limited Pvt Ltd. has reportedly removed Ravi Prakash from the CEO post and has appointed Mahendra Mishra as the new CEO.

It is learnt that Mahendra Mishra had been handling the Channel's Karnataka operations, as the Interim CEO. Besides, Mr. Singa Rao Gottipati who is serving as an editor for 10 TV presently has been appointed as the COO.

Ravi Prakash, the founder, and the CEO, of TV9, has been replaced after the Board of Associated Broadcasting Pvt Ltd (ABCPCL) passed a resolution after all powers were revoked and removed from the position of Director and CEO Ravi Prakash and Director and CFO MKVN Murthy with an immediate effect a statement by Alanda Media & Entertainments Pvt Ltd said.

Alanda announced that ABPCL will continue to function as a separate unit, with them being the majority shareholders.

The Cyberabad police in Hyderabad registered two cases against the leading television new's channel's CEO and few others of the company on charges of forgery, cheating, and criminal conspiracy.

The cyber crime wing operations team of Cyberabad police commissionerate on April 24 registered a case on a complaint from P Kaushik Rao, Director of Alanda, that Ravi Prakash, actor Shivaji, and others committing forgery. Another case was also filed on April 30

The accused were booked under sections 406 criminal breach of trust, 420 Cheating, 467 forgeries of security, 469 Forgery for harming the reputation, 471 Using forged documents or electronic record as genuine. and 120 (B) Criminal conspiracy and relevant sections of the IT Act.

Search warrants were issued by the court on Thursday followed by the searches at the office of ABPCL at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad and the residences of the accused.

During the search, the teams seized important documents at various places and electronic evidence. The seized material will be forwarded to the forensic lab for further investigations. Cyberabad police said.

The police said that the investigation is still on and the action would be taken as per the law.
