Huzurnagar Municipal Commissioner Ankusha Vaaly on Friday carried out a during a surprise inspection in the local vegetable market and imposed Rs 10,000 fine on four shop owners for using banned plastic covers.

Speaking on the occasion, he directed the vendors not to use banned plastic covers and protect the environment. He advised the people to carry cloth bags while purchasing their day to day needs.
Meanwhile, Cotton farmers staged a protest demonstration on Nagarjunasagar- Hyderabad road in Konda Mallepally mandal of Nalgonda district. Farmers expressed anger over denial to purchase their cotton produce at Shiva Ganesh Mill located at China Adishralapally village of Mallepally mandal in the district in the name of over moisture. After police intervention, the farmers withdrew their protest.
