Officials of Nagarjunasagar releasing 2lakh cusecs water to downstream by lifting 22 gates of the project at a height of 10 feet as the inflows of the project reached to 4 lakh cusecs from upper stream( Srisailam dam).

The present water level of Sagar reservoir is 310.25 TMC at 589.70 feet against Full tank level of 312 TMC at 590 feet.
