At least 67 inmates of Telangana tribal residential welfare school in Nizamabad fell sick allegedly due to food poisoning on Saturday night after they consumed cake.
The girl students celebrated the birthday of hostel secretary RS Praveen Kumar and consumed cake and other food items. Sometime later, the students complained of stomach ache and were shifted to government hospital for treatment.
Chaotic scenes prevailed at the hospital with a sudden rush to the students and their parents to the hospital. However, the health condition of the students is stable.
