The Rachakonda Commissionerate Special Operations Team (SOT) sleuths along with Keesara police on Saturday night seized two vehicles laden with 8,900 kg explosive materials (376 boosters) and 165 non electric detonators in Keesara police station limits and arrested two persons for violation of explosive rules.

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Commissionerate Special Operations Team (SOT) sleuths along with Keesara police on Saturday night seized two vehicles laden with 8,900 kg explosive materials (376 boosters) and 165 non electric detonators in Keesara police station limits and arrested two persons for violation of explosive rules.

According to police, B Sravan Reddy (29), a resident of Ghatkesar and Narayana of Badwel run businesses with valid licenses and supply explosives to stone crushers industries by violating explosive rules.

Recently, Regenesis Industries Private Limited of Bommalaramaram placed order with both of them for explosives. On Saturday, after loading the explosive material, T Venkatesham (32), the driver of the explosive vehicle met with Shravan Reddy at night and on his instructions he unloaded the entire explosive material at Harsha Stone Industry at Vannigudem of Keesara.

Meanwhile, on specific information police raided the premises and seized the material along with the vehicles. Driver Venkatesham and Shravan Redy were taken into custody.

By registering a case under sections 9(B)(1)(c) of Explosives Act,1884, police are investigating.
