There was a huge rise in the drunk driving cases on the New Year's eve with a total of 931 cases registered across Ranga Reddy district
Ranga Reddy: There was a huge rise in the drunk driving cases on the New Year's eve with a total of 931 cases registered across Ranga Reddy district. During the inspection conducted at the midnight of December 31, a large number of vehicles were seized within the Cyberabad Commissionerate limits.
The police officials said that Cyberabad Commissionerate region registered 201 cases in Gachibowli, 171 in Madhapur, 167 in Kukatpally, 93 in Miyapur, 72 in Jeedimetla, 53 in Rajendranagar, 47 in Alwal, 45 in Balanagar, 42 in Shamshabad and 40 in Shadnagar. A total of 721 bikes, 190 four-wheelers, 18 autos and two heavy vehicles were seized.
Police also informed that of those who were caught in drunken driving, 271 were under the age of 25 and 452 were under the age of 35 years. Seven cases showed 500 points on the breathalyser test.
