Agriculture Minister inspects submerged lands in Kudikilla
Assures adequate compensation to farmers losing lands to PRRLI project
Nagarkurnool: After learning about the recent agitation by the villagers of Kudikilla in Kollapur mandal of Nagarkurnool district, Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy visited the village and interacted with the villagers to know their concerns and issues, on Friday.
The Minister, who was accompanied by the officials of Agriculture, Irrigation and Engineering departments, toured the village and later, interacted with villagers.
He said there was no need for them to panic and he assured that the government would give adequate compensation to every farmer being impacted under the PRRLI project.
"The PRRLI project is a huge project being taken up to irrigate more than 12 lakh acres across erstwhile Mahbubnagar district. I know there are certain issues and concerns with regard to land acquisitions in some areas, however, I am sure we will overcome all those issues and definitely with everybody's support, we will complete the PRRLI project and help the farmers of this district," said the Minister.
