Hyderabad: The Army authorities refuted the claim/allegation of land row with HMDA that appeared in the news article of The Hans India (The City Hans, page 16) on December 3.

The Army authorities clarified that the land in question as alleged by the local residents of Alkapur Township in Narsingi area belongs to the Army and that there is no dispute or land row with the HMDA on this issue.

The authorities interacted with the officials concerned of HMDA who also confirmed that the land Svy No 120 /1/ 2 indeed belongs to the Army.

The defence land boundary pillars already existing in the area substantiate this.

The Army authorities further added that the actions taken by the local military authorities are purely to safeguard the land in their possession and prevent illegal encroachments being attempted by various actions of the locals, including destruction of one of the boundary pillars demarcating the defence land in the area.
