Karimnagar: The results of December Assembly elections will be repeated in the coming Lok Sabha elections, MLA Gangula Kamalakar said with confidence while speaking with the media here on Tuesday.

Speaking at the press meet at Mee Seva centre here, Kamalakar said people taught a fitting lesson to the Opposition parties in the Assembly elections and gave full majority to the TRS.

The same thing will happen again in LS elections.

It is the TRS, which is striving hard for the upliftment of weaker sections of people present across the State and is introducing several schemes for their welfare, he said.

Kamalakar alleged that both Congress and BJP are trying to cheat the people with hollow promises.

Stating that just before the elections, leaders of these parties are giving false assurances to the public that national parties only could solve the problems of the people, he questioned why they couldn't fulfil the same promises when they were in ruling.

The MLA predicted that regional parties will play a crucial role in national politics in the coming days.

People must be aware of the leaders, who are trying to deceive them with mesmerising words and hollow promises.

For the development to take place, people must cast their vote for car symbol, he stated.

Kamalakar informed that as part of the election campaign of Lok Sabha elections, there will be a road show in Karimnagar on March 29 for which TRS working president KT Rama Rao will attend and a massive rally will be held on April 9.

The TRS leaders and party activists must mobilise large number of people to attend to the road show and to the rally, he appealed.

City Mayor Ravinder Singh, Deputy Mayor G Ramesh, MPP V Ramesh and other TRS leaders were present.
