Balram Naik slams TRS
Congress candidate for Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency Porika Balram Naik has gone berserk on Thursday with the rumour mills doing rounds that he was conceded defeat to TRS candidate Maloth Kavitha after accepting a ransom.
Mahabubabad: Congress candidate for Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency Porika Balram Naik has gone berserk on Thursday with the rumour mills doing rounds that he was conceded defeat to TRS candidate Maloth Kavitha after accepting a ransom. It's learnt that Balram Naik was furious with some TRS workers spreading rumours that he had conceded defeat to Maloth Kavitha in lieu of money.
He took to streets stating that he is not someone, who sells himself. "In fact, it was Dornakal MLA DS Redya Naik and his daughter and TRS candidate Maloth Kavitha, who sold themselves the TRS after 2014 elections," Balram Naik said. It may be recalled here that Redya Naik who won on Congress ticket in 2014 shifted loyalties to TRS.
Of late, Balram Naik has been expressing his frustration accusing Congress State leadership of abandoning him. While the TRS campaign was bolstered by KCR, KTR and other top leaders, the Congress campaign lacked vigour without star campaigners.
Balram Naik who was elected from Mahabubabad Lok Sabha in 2009 had lost 2014 election to Azmeera Seetharam Naik of TRS. He also contested unsuccessfully for Mahabubabad Assembly seat in December 2018.
