The Chatrinaka police on Saturday registered a case against a man for allegedly sexually assaulting his sister's friend.
The accused, an 18-year-old daily wage labourer used to meet the victim while dropping her sister to school. The accused's younger sister and the victim are classmates. The 18-year-old lured the girl that his sister called her for help and took her to his house where he assaulted her.
The accused fled the spot after the incident.
However, the girl shared her ordeal with her mother who approached the police. The police registered a case and sent the girl for medical examination.
Efforts are made to nab the accused on whom the police registered the case under sections of IPC and POCSO act.
