Khammam: District Collector R V Karnan directed the Health officers to conduct rapid survey in every village in the district. He addressed a meeting with the Medical and Health officers at the Collectorate here on Sunday and reviewed the situation mandal-wise on the spread of seasonal diseases.

Speaking on the programme, he instructed that the health staff should concentrate about the seasonal diseases , mainly the cases of dengue, typhoid and malaria which are found in majority of villages. The officials have to conduct rapid survey immediately, he said and asked them to take the blood samples from the affected persons and observe the conditions.

He also suggested them to take the services of the Ayush doctors for the survey programme in the mandal. With support of the Grampanchayat officers, they can conduct awareness programme to the people to keep their premises clean, he said.

He also asked immediately to take up mosquito fogging programme to kill the larva in villages with the funds of the Primary Health Centres (PHCs). He asked to the Malaria Officer to supervise the mosquito fogging works in the villages.

Collector asked to the Health Officers conduct door to door programme in the villages and oversee the sanitation programme. Karnan ordered to the officers that they should maintain stock of medicines in all PHCs .

He said every officer should concentrate on the children's deaths in the villages. Assistant Collector Hanumanthu Kodimbha, Trainee Collector Adarsh Surabhi, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Kalavathi Bhai, District Head Quarter Hospital Superintendent Dr Venkateswarlu, District Malaria Officer Saidulu and District Welfare Officer Varalaxmi, Commissioner of Corporation J Srinivas Rao, Districts Immunisation Officers Dr Alivelu, Dr Koti Ratnam and Primary Health Centres Doctors were attended the meeting.
