Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Adilabad segment Ramesh Rathod seriously injured in a road accident on Tuesday at Jainoor.
Rathod met with the accident at a cement pipe manufacturing industry near Mavala while he was heading to Adilabad from Jainoor after the election campaign. The car driver rammed the vehicle into a tree in a bid to escape from hitting a wild pig.
He suffered injuries on his head and ribs. While the car driver escaped with minor injuries.
Passersby informed the police and shifted him to RIMS hospital.
