Diwali gift: SCCL releases 258 crore towards festival bonus

After receiving Rs 1 lakh Dasara bonus, this is second time in the same month that every worker is receiving the bonus, taking the total amount to over Rs 1.6 lakh
Khammam: The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on Friday released Rs 258 crore as Diwali bonus for its employees. Informing the same, the company's Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar added that the amount was paid to the workers on Friday.
Stating that every worker would get Rs 64,700, he informed that this was the first time that workers were getting such a huge sum of money under the performance-linked Reward Scheme (PLRS).
He also informed that after the Dasara bonus of Rs 1 lakh to every worker which was given on October 1 this month, the Diwali bonus was the second bonus given in the same month.
The CMD added that workers were getting more benefits after the formation of the new State.
