Ganja peddler held, 8kg contraband seized in Suryapet
Suryapet police have arrested a person who was moving suspiciously near Hi-tech bus stand in the town to catch a lorry to reach Hyderabad and seized 8 kg ganja from his possession.

According to town CI Shiva Shankar, Kothapalli Veerana alias Varun (24), a photographer by profession and a native of Kakaravai village of Tirumalaipalem mandal of Khammam district, was habituated to lead a lavish life and in this connection, to get more money through easy way, he bought 8 kg ganja at Rs 2,500 per kg and decided to sell at higher price in Hyderabad.
In order to escape from police, he reached Suryapet via Khammam by lorry and while trying to leave for Hyderabad in a lorry, he was caught by the police. The police seized the contraband packed in four bags from his possession.
CI Shiva Shankar informed that police have registered a case against Varun and took up the investigation.
