Hyderabad: Criminal case filed over illegal drawal of water in Nacharam
Water worth Rs 70 lakh is found to be pilfered by Stallion Tires
Nacharam: Criminal case were filed against VMS Venkatesh, managing director of a private company S Stallion Tires Limited Company, here on Friday for possessing illegal water connection.
In 2016, the Water Board officially disconnected the water line form the company at IDA Complex, Flat No 9 in Nacharam, for not paying the water bill. Later, the company acquired the connection illegally and utilised about 25,116 liters of water worth Rs 40 lakh. Earlier, the company had to pay for utilising water worth Rs 30 Lakhs. Overall, the company has to pay Rs 70 lakh for the total utilisation of water apart from acquiring an illegal water connection.
Identifying the fraudulent acts of the company, the vigilance officers filed case against Venkatesh under IPC section 269/430. Water board officials warned that criminal cases would be registered if anyone is using illegal water connections.
If anyone finds any illegal connections or use of a connection for commercial purposes though it is sanctioned for domestic use could bring it to the notice of the Water Board Vigilance Team on phones: 9989998100 or 9989992268.
