Nizamabad: PDSU vice-president Jannarapu Rajeshwar said that Telangana was invaded by Sardar Patel and his forces in the name of police action. The PDSU representatives observed the Telangana Liberation Day as 'Telangana Sabotage Day' at Kotagalli Girls Junior College in Nizamabad on Tuesday.

Rajeshwar alleged that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel tried to protect landlords and jaghirdars in Telangana and Sardar Patel had handed over 10 lakh acres of land to landowners. Not only this, Patel's army had killed 40,000 communist leaders and activists and all the dead were Hindus, he added.

The PDSU leader pointed out that during the Nizam's rule, Hindus were never killed but British India subcontinent colonists continued to kill in the name of encounters even today. However, the people have made a hostile fight against the Indian Army. The day of sabotage on September 17, 1948, was a massacre of communist activists, he added. Rajeshwar gave a call to all to fight against communal forces and to solve various issues pertaining to educational sector.

PDSU district secretary Karthik, city vice-presidents Sai Krishna, leaders Balaji, Ramu and students were present at the programme.
