Kothagudem: Konda Laxman Bapuji remembered
104th birth anniversary celebrations held across the district
Kothagudem: The 104th birth anniversary of Konda Laxman Bapuji was celebrated on a grand note across the district on Friday.
A programme was conducted by the Backward Classes department at the Revenue Divisional Office meeting hall in Kothagudem, where District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini attended as the chief guest.
On the occasion, he garlanded the portrait of Konda Laxman Bapuji and recalled his services to the people of the region as a freedom fighter and the Telangana activist.
Saini said the youth must tread on the path of Konda and strive for the development of the State and its people. Zilla Parishad vice-chairman K Chandra Sekhar Rao, Divisional Officer K Swarna Latha, BC Welfare Officer Surender also spoke on the occasion.
BC Sangham leaders R Venkateswarlu, M Uma, Naga Sitaramulu, Kollu Padma, B Raju, K Shankar, Gouri Venu Goplal, K Mallikarjun and Konda Jampanna attended the programme.
