The State police on Thursday traced a mentally disordered minor missing girl using Darpan App
Hyderabad: The State police on Thursday traced a mentally disordered minor missing girl using Darpan App.
According to Swati Lakra, IG, Law and Order and Incharge women safety, on May 5, 2015 a complaint was lodged by Malan Bee (40) stating that her granddaughter Muskan Fatima (10) who was mentally retarded was missing from work place at Ghansibazar in Old City, near High Court and was not traced even after searching in all probable places.
A case was registered under section 363 IPC in Charminar police station and later on May 9, 2016 the case was transferred to WPC, CID for further investigation.
During the course of investigation, her details and photographs were enrolled in Darpan App. One month ago, the girl's photo was tallied with missing photo's data base and the girl was traced to APMWS Rainbow Home in Falaknuma.
The missing girl was traced after 3 years 10 months and this was 20th such case where missing people were with the use of Darpan App.
