Karimnagar: Husnabad legislator Vodithala Sathish Kumar distributed CMRF cheques and TRS party insurance cheques worth Rs 35.60 lakh at the MLA camp office in Husnabad town on Tuesday.
He said that the land evacuees should cooperate to complete the construction work of Gauravelli Reservoir as it was in the final stage. The dream of bringing Godavari water to every acre to the farmers of Husnabad constituency in the hilly region through the Gauravelli project would soon be fulfilled.
Alleging that the Opposition is conspiring to stop the project, he said and made it clear that obstructing the project work that benefits the farmers was not good. The government was ready to provide compensation to landless people as promised, but opposition parties have misled them.
Under the R&R package, 97.82 per cent of the land occupants were compensated, only 2.18 percent remaining.
Sathish Kumar informed that under the R&R package, landless people would be allotted houses as well as infrastructure. Cheques were presented to 107 persons sanctioned under the Chief Minister's Relief Fund in Husnabad constituency.
