Parents should encourage children to excel in studies, games: Collector Bharathi

Mancherial: Parents should encourage their children to excel in studies and games also, stated District Collector Bharathi Hollikeri while speaking at the Annual Sports programme at Kendriya Vidyalaya in Mancherial on Thursday.

Participating as the chief guest, the Collector along with the School Principal Subhashini inaugurated the sports. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Bharathi said that games also important to students as well as studies, as games will help the students to develop physical fitness and gives mental relief. This will help the students to concentrate on their studies, she added.

While playing games, their natural talent will come out and parents should encourage the talented students. The students should go ahead with sports spirit, she said.

Later the Collector distributed prizes to the winners of various game competitions.
