Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan is scheduled to meet with top BJP leaders in Delhi today along wit BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy and party OBC Morcha national president K. Laxman to discuss the alliance between both the parties.
It is expected that the meeting will address the possibility of fielding common candidates, including for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
Jana Sena leaders have already announced their intention to contest in 32 seats. Therefore, it is believed that a joint competition between the two parties would be beneficial. BJP leaders have also expressed their opinion on the matter, with Kishan Reddy and Laxman recently discussing the potential alliance with Pawan Kalyan.
The outcome of the meeting on Wednesday will provide clarity on the alliance and the strategy on how to move forward in the Telangana elections.
It may be recalled that BJP state president Kishan Reddy and Lakshman met Pawan Kalyan in the last week and held preliminary talks on the alliance. It remains to be whether the BJP and Jana Sena would contest together.
