Hyderabad: Prime minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Yadadri temple and attend the annual Brahmotsavam of the Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in the last week of February or March first week.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during his recent to New Delhi tour met the Prime Minister and apprised the PM of the development works taken up by the State government at the temple with high-end facilities and also the makeover of the entire temple.

The key event of the Brahmotsavam, the celestial wedding of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swami at Balalayam, is conducted every year. This time, KCR is planning to organise the Brahmotsavam on a big scale to mark the inauguration of the new temple.

Sources said that Modi is expected to visit the temple and several union ministers and Governors will also be invited on the auspicious occasion. A confirmation of the visit of PM will be known by this month-end. The CM is personally monitoring the temple works on a regular basis and instructed the authorities to complete the pending works on a war-footing.

Meanwhile, State Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashant Reddy on Sunday conducted a review of the temple works progress. He said the presidential suit and 13 VVIP suits works would be completed by January-end.

Pushkarini and Kalyana Katta would also be completed early for the convenience of visiting pilgrims. He instructed District Collector Anita Ramachandran over phone to complete land acquisition for the ring road within a month.
