Release fee reimbursement dues to engineering colleges: Congress Challa Vamsi Chand Reddy
All India Congress Committee secretary Ch Vamsi Chand Reddy on Saturday demanded the government to release dues of fee reimbursement to ensure payments of salaries to the teaching and non teaching staff of private engineering colleges
Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee secretary Ch Vamsi Chand Reddy on Saturday demanded the government to release dues of fee reimbursement to ensure payments of salaries to the teaching and non teaching staff of private engineering colleges.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, he said that about one lakh teaching and non-teaching staff of private engineering and other technical (pharmacy, polytechnic, MBA, MCA) colleges are suffering due to non-payment of salaries. Despite the directive issued by AICTE and order released by the JNTUH to pay salaries of the staff without any deductions, the private colleges paid either half the amount or have not paid any for 2 to 3 months or even more. When they contacted the college managements regarding the payment of salaries to the teaching and non-teaching staff, they stated it would be possible to pay the salaries if the government releases fee reimbursement dues.
He said that Andhra Pradesh government has paid a sum total of Rs 4,000 crores towards all fee reimbursement dues. As state government claims that Telangana is a rich state it must stood as an example by paying the dues of fee reimbursement.
