Khammam: With the strike entering the 38th day on Monday, the RTC employees attempted to lay siege to the camp office of Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar and residences of TRS MLAs and party leaders in erstwhile Khammam district. Before the siege program, the employees took out a rally raising slogans against the government. Later, they attempted to lay siege to the residences of TRS MLAs in various consistencies in the district.

The RTC JAC leaders and staff attempted to lay siege to Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar's camp office in Khammam. However, the police foiled their attempt and took them into custody. In Syria, Paleru, Sathupally, Kothagudem, and Manuguru, the RTC workers tried to lay siege to the camp offices of their respective area MLAs. In Bhadrachalam and Aswaraopet, MLA Podem Veeraiah and M Nageswara Rao lent their support to the agitating employees.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhadrachalam MLA and District Congress Committee president Podem Veeraiah condemned the policies of the TRS government and added that it should take responsibility for the deaths of RTC employees. Criticizing the police high-handedness during the Chalo Tank Bund programme in Hyderabad on Saturday, he demanded the government to immediately hold talks with the RTC unions and solve their issues.
