Nagarjunasagar (Nalgonda): The officials of the Nagarjunasagar project have been releasing 4.35 lakh cusecs of water to downstream by lifting 18 crest gates of the project to 15 feet as Sagar reservoir has been getting 4.35 lakh cusecs of inflows from Srisailam project on Wednesday.

The officials in the morning lifted two gates and increased it to 18 by the evening as the flood flow to the reservoir increased from time to time.

The water level in the reservoir is 310.84 tmcft at 589.60 feet as against Full Tank Level of 312 tmcft.

Man washed away

Meanwhile, a person by name Rambabu accidentally fell in the Nagarjunasagar left canal near Halia of Anumula mandal of Nagarjunasagar constituency and was washed away in the waters.
