Cyberabad: Cyberabad CP VC Sajjanar held a meeting with inspectors, ACPs and DCPs at Cyberabad Police Commissionerate on Thursday to review security arrangements made for the ensuing Parliament elections.
He gave instructions to ACPs and inspectors who have been appointed as assembly segment coordinators.
Addressing the police officials, Sajjanar ordered them to take necessary measures to ensure peaceful conduct of the forthcoming elections.
He instructed them to lay special focus on sensitive polling stations and violations of model code of conduct for ensuring incident-free elections.
Candidates should take permission from returning officers (ROs) for installing hoardings and flexis, he said. Check posts should be established to prevent illegal transfer of money and liquor, he said.
Sajjanar also explained them on the measures to be taken for maintenance of security, the routes and police station locations.
Party offices should not be present within 200 mt of polling stations.
Candidates should take permissions from the respective RO for their election campaign vehicles.
