Wanaparthy: Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy took part in various development programmes in Wanaparthy district on Tuesday.
To begin with, Reddy visited Ankur village of Wanaparthy mandal and took part in the Haritha Haram programme and planted a sapling. Later, he laid the foundation stones for laying of a CC road and for construction of a cremation ground in the village.
Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister called up on every individual to take part in the Haritha Haram programme and directed the officials concerned to take up more and more awareness and plantation programmes in rural areas.
"Haritha Haram is a novel programme which is very important to protect our environment. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every individual to take part in the programme and plant at least three plants," said the Minister.
Later, he visited Rajapet village on the outskirts of Wanaparthy district and inspected the site for the construction of TRS party office. Singireddy directed the party cadres in the district to speed up the construction of party office and ensure that it is completed in a record time period. "As already we have laid the foundation stone for the party office, we have directed the members concerned to begin the construction works with in next three days," said the Minister.
Last month, the Minister had received the design of the party office building from Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Singireddy handed over the building plan to the engineers concerned and directed the district leaders to ensure that office is constructed by adhering to Vaastu norms.
"The TRS office will be a spacious building to accommodate local party meetings and we have also made plans to ensure the building is constructed in such a way that party people from faraway places can stay for a day or two. The party office will have large space for parking too," said the Minister.
