Hyderabad: Srikala Reddy is likely to be the BJP's nominee for the Huzur Nagar Assembly by-election. According to the party sources, BJP State chief K Laxman interacted with eight of the aspiring candidates at the party's state headquarters on Tuesday.
The name of Srikala Reddy turned out to be the front runner as she comes from a family of political leaders.
"Jithender Reddy, father of Srikala Reddy was a former MLA from Kodad and her husband was also an MP from the BSP.
Further, the BJP also reportedly considered recommending the name of Srikala Reddy to the party national leadership as both the TRS and Congress parties have fielded their candidates from the same community to which Srikala belongs.
