Animal Husbandry Minister says removal of Jagadish Reddy from the ministership will not resolve the issue

Hyderabad: Amidst the demand by the Opposition for removal Minister for Education G Jagadish Reddy in the wake of Intermediate results fiasco, Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav on Friday said such a step would not solve the issue.

Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan here, Srinivas Yadav accused the Opposition parties of politicising the issue of Intermediate students.

The State government had appointed a committee to look into the matter and would take action against the officials responsible after the committee gave its report.

He asked the parents and also the Intermediate students not to worry. The government would be with them and ensure there are no mistakes in future.

The Minister lashed out at the Congress leaders for complaining against the government to the Governor.

"The Congress leaders have gone to the Governor as if there is a Constitutional crisis in the State. Uttam Kumar Reddy (TPCC Chief) is a 'dadamma.' He is talking against defection of MLAs.

Why the Congress leaders were silent when the TRS MLAs were taken into Congress during Y S Rajasekara Reddy's government," asked Yadav.

The Minister took exception to the comments by the Congress leaders against Speaker P Srinivas Reddy. "The Congress party should learn to respect the leaders who are in Constitutional posts like the Speaker.

It is unfortunate to say the Speaker has run away to Nizamabad instead of being in Hyderabad," said Yadav. The Congress leaders had not learnt from the Assembly results. People of the State were ready to give the same mandate on May 23, he added.

The Minister said TRS working president K T Rama Rao would participate in the flag hoisting programme to mark the TRS Formation Day at 9 am at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday.

He said that the 18th formation day of the party would be simple and only flag hoisting would be done by the party leaders in districts.

As part of the programme, KTR would hoist the party flag at party headquarters at Telangana Bhavan.
