Former MP Kavitha demands Modi govt to roll back privatisation decision
Hyderabad: TRS former MP Kavitha on Thursday demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to roll back the decision to give coal blocks to private companies. She opposed the Centre decision to offer coal blocks to private companies and sought immediate roll back. Coal mining workers across the country have boycotted including Singareni workers on Thursday have boycotted the mining works in the coal belt areas to protest the Centre decision to privatise coal mines. With this the mining activity was stopped in Singareni coal belt area causing loss and wire a deserted look.
In twitter, the former MP said that thousands of coal mine workers are on strike demanding the Central government to withdraw its decision to auction coal blocks to privatise companies. Kavitha stated that the TRS affiliated Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) was also on strike on Thursday According to information, the Centre has decided to privatise about 50 coal blocks worth of Rs 50,000 cr. Thus, the coal mine workers have boycotted the mining works opposing the privatisation. While national unions of coal mines have called for 72-hour protests, TBGKS has called for a single day protest.
