Hyderabad: City-based Turbo Megha Airways, which operates a regional carrier under the brand name 'TruJet,' has taken into service 100 employees of Jet Airways, which recently suspended its operations temporarily. Those recruited include pilots, engineering and other corporate staff.

The regional airline is also planning to induct three more aircraft in the next four months. The first ATR-500 will join the fleet next month, while the other two are expected to join by September this year.

With the new aircraft and additional staff joining, Trujet is planning to expand its operations and start new routes. TruJet, which will link Ahmedabad - Kandla route in May/June, is also planning to link Kohlapur, Jalgaon, and Belgaum from the third quarter of this year.

"TruJet would like to focus on completing its UDAN commitment this year. Currently it is operating half of its 48 routes won under the UDAN scheme.

We have the best track record in the industry in maintaining the on-time performance with zero cancellations of its flights in the last three months," the airlines said in a release.
