Woman falls off moving train in Hyderabad, dies

While trying to retrieve her fallen phone, a 22-year-old woman died after falling from MMTS train here at Begumpet railway station on Wednesday.
Ashwini, a resident of Sithaphalmandi boarded a MMTS train at Sithaphalmandi railway station to reach her workplace near Nature Cure hospital at Ameerpet.
When the train reached Begumpet, she got up from her seat and was preparing to get down at the next station. Suddenly, she dropped her phone inside the train and fell off the train while trying to retrieve it.
The woman got stuck between the moving train and platform following which she was dragged by the train for a few metres. Her death was instant.
On learning the incident, the Nampally police rushed to the spot and shifted the severed body to Osmania General Hospital for an autopsy.
A case was registered by the police.
