The government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has given the good news to the outsourcing staff of APSRTC. The state government has provided free travel to outsourcing staff working in depots, units and other departments. The decision will be implemented from January 1 next year. A total of 5,000 people are working in outsourcing in RTC.

The employees have been traveling from their residence to depots and units every day at their own cost hence the outsourced staff have been demanding free bus passes for some time. The government has responded positively to the demand of outsourcing staff. MD Krishnababu said that these free bus passes are being provided with the intention of providing financial facilities to the outsourcing staff.

These bus passes can be used on City ordinary, Suburban, Metro Express and Palle Velugu buses respectively. Those who work in outsourcing mode can travel for free on buses within 25 km from their residence.
