New Kurnool Range DIG takes charge
P Venkatarami Reddy took the charge as new Kurnool Range DIG on Sunday. Later, addressing the media, Reddy said that he will discharge duties to the entire satisfaction of the people.
Kurnool: P Venkatarami Reddy took the charge as new Kurnool Range DIG on Sunday. Later, addressing the media, Reddy said that he will discharge duties to the entire satisfaction of the people. Venkatarami Reddy replaced D Nagendra Kumar, who was posted as Joint Commissioner of Vijayawada.
Prior to taking charge, he was welcomed by the District Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr K Fakkeerappa with a bouquet. Addressing the media, the DIG thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and DGP Gautam Sawang.
"I will not break the trust placed on me by the CM and DGP," said Reddy. Born in 1965, Reddy is a native of Kurnool. Prior to joining the police force, he worked as a veterinarian and as a transmission executive in All India Radio.
In 1994, he joined the police force after being selected through Group-1 and worked as a DSP in Guntur. Before being promoted as DIG, he served as Principal of the PTC Anantapur.
