Vijayawada: Nunna Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society (PACS) president P Sambi Reddy laid the foundation stone for the construction of a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water plant beside Mandal Parishad Primary School at Nunna near Vijayawada on Thursday.

Addressing the gathering, PACS president Sambi Reddy said that the society was involved several social service activities in Nunna village. As part of the services, the PACS had decided to construct the second RO plant at Kotakatta center to cater the water problem in the village, he said and added that the cost of the plant was Rs13 lakh which will be borne by PACS. He said construction work would be completed within 40 days.

Former MPP Y Nagi Reddy, former MPTC T Raja Rao, PACS directors T Babu Rao, G Dhanalakshmi, former vice-president D Venkateswara Rao, YCP leaders P Sambireddy, P Chandrareddy, B Balasekhar Reddy, TDP president Kalakoti Srinivas Reddy, CPM secretary Guntaka China Venkatareddy, PACS CEO E Anjaneyulu and others were present on the occasion.
