He ordered district collectors to release Rs 10 crore under National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) to every constituency in the state.

Ramachandra Reddy said that to achieve NREGA scheme goals, review meetings on the progress should be held every month and there should 20 percent additional progress compared with the previous year.

The department plans to develop internal highways, horticulture, and fisheries. Government ordered to conduct drainage and water purification drives, he said and asked the officials to focus on village secretariats, anganwadis, schools that are with incomplete facilities, and provide all the required facilities.

The 'Then and Now' programme of modernization of schools should be taken up in the same way. The proposals should be sent on construction of compound wall and toilets in more than 40,000 schools. Employment guaranteed should be applicable in more than 11,000 village secretariats, he said.

'Prevent migration of Chittoor labours. Plantation works should take place under NREGA in places like Uddanam. Village Secretariats should be built under Giri Seva scheme in agency areas,' he said and asked the officials to call for tenders. He instructed the officials to utilise all 90 employment working days for government house construction.

District Water Management Authority (DWMA) Project Directors of 13 districts, Panchayat Raj Principal Secretary Gopala Krishna Dwivedi, Commissioner Girija Shankar and other officials were among those present at the review meeting.
