Tirupati: Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanams is mulling to introduce Jammu's Vaishno Devi temple model for the devotees for a darshan in Tirumala temple in view of coronavirus after relaxing the lockdown.

As per Government of India Covid-19 protocols, the TTD authorities are examining the ways and means to reduce the crowding during darshan. Earlier, the board had been allowing 75,000-90,000 devotees daily to have darshan.

One of the modules being studied is the Vaishno Devi temple darshan system, which is based on an online registration. Devotees are permitted in limited numbers to visit the temple daily. Those who do not get registered have to wait for their turn at Katra itself. No one would be allowed to go uphill without registration.

Even in Tirumala, temple officials are implementing an advance booking system for Arjitha Sevas, Kalyanostvams and Rs 300 quick darshan.
